Originally born and raised in America, Byron Patrick Tuttle was encouraged to dance by his family who are of an Irish background. Byron has enjoyed a wealth of success in competitive and professional Irish Dancing circles.
During his illustrious competitive career, Byron has won -
The European International, All Scotland, British National, Great Britain, All Ireland and World Championship titles for solo, ceili and figure! Some of these titles were achieved more than once!
Byron has always coined himself as a 'tenacious hard-worker' and it shows. At the young age of just 17, Byron was invited to tour in Michael Flatley's Feet Of Flames and Lord Of The Dance where he was dancing alongside Michael Flatley himself! Through this amazing experience, Byron was able to train in the show under Irish Dancing legend, Marie Duffy.
"It was in fact, Marie Duffy who inspired me to want to teach because of everything she achieved in her own teaching career. She is extremely driven and I learned a lot from her during my time in the show".
In December 2006, Byron passed his TCRG exam set forth by An Coimisiun le Rinci Gaelacha in Belfast to become a qualified and registered teacher.
"My goals in teaching are to get the 100% very best out of every pupil and to give children the same opportunities that I was given as a dancer. Also, to give them the chance to travel, compete, meet new people and learn life lessons through Irish Dancing. In my opinion, winning is not the most important thing, however, Edward and I do place a serious amount of importance on competing".
